I brought my car in because of a transmission leak back in August 2013 and they fixed it no problem. Yesterday (November 2013) I went for an oil change and they advised me that my lower engine cover (3 foot x 3 foot plastic piece that covers my engine) is missing – no other piece around is damaged. After calling the shop to find out if it is possible that maybe it just wasn’t put back ($200 piece, by the way!), I was told that that isn’t possible. ALSO, when asked if they would advise me if they notice this HUGE piece missing, they said “No, we wouldn’t tell you because it’s not needed. People take it off and don’t replace it all the time”. Regardless of if the piece was there before or not, they should not be the ones deciding for ME if a part is necessary. Needless to say, I won’t be bringing my car there again for fear that they won’t tell me something that I would WANT to know because they deem it unnecessary.
