  1. Most trustworthy garage I have come across.

  2. Not very respectful with women, talks to me like I don’t know car parts. Charges double the price on parts and when it’s time to pick-up the car the labour is double the price as well for no extra work…….

  3. Very polite, friendly and helpful.
I will recommend to all my friends.

  4. Karl is a REAL mechanic who knows and understands cars, especially SAABs. He’s very honest and can usually recommend a fix to suit your budget. Karl and his staff are always friendly and seem to enjoy their job. The gang will always go out of their way to ensure that you are happy, however, don’t count on them washing your car…it’s not that kind of place, but I’m totally OK with that as I can do that myself!

  5. I’ve been taking my Saab here for 7yrs and I wouldn’t trust it with anyone else. Karl is da man!

  6. First class service knowledge and repairs. Best in town. “Jo” above may have a chip on her shoulder…?

  7. I’ve been going to Scandinavian since the early-90s (and so have my parents after their cars came off the dealer warranty periods) after one crooked garage owner in Bells corners that claimed to be a saab specialist tried to get me to pay nearly $2000 to replace what was claimed to be a destroyed transmission, and after three weeks without my car I’d had it towed to Scandinavian after being tipped off to them by a coworker. The “destroyed” transmission turned out to be that a $6 scroll pin that connected the gear lever to the transmission linkage had sheared and simply needed to be replaced, and my car was fixed only 20 minutes after it’d arrived there.

Having years later ACTUALLY destroyed a Saab transmission, which comes with some very noticeable signs when it happens (like grinding/shuddering noises, a split transmission case, gear oil spilling out, etc) I did learn that it is in fact a roughly ten hours of labour to do the job to replace them (and twice that if you’re sourcing it from a donor parts car).
