I only have good things to say about the service, the professionnalisim and the carrying I receive each time I use this garage for small or big jobs.
On the last smowfall we had early April, my car got seriously damaged from sliding on to a post where the front bumper could not provide any protection. Although a small accident the quotes are received were $8,500 and $10,000 at the dealer. Now after the work done at Marier Auto Garage, no one could ever tell the car was accidented. The work was done expediently at a fraction of the price. Wow! I am impressed and grateful. I will recommended them to my friends and have my ennemies go somewhere else.
Always nickels and dimes you to death. $5 here $10 there the bill always ends up significantly more than what the quote was. Seeing the guys he has working there I wonder if anyone other than him is a fully licensed mechanic?
I go to john every time when i needs to service my trucks it is very easy for me to trust john then any dealers . the way john works nobody can beet his work. john does 4 guys work fast never say no if I call even after hours he help me some time. if he charge u every shop supplies 5 dollars here 10 dollars there, so what he has to buy every product he is not manufacturing them. it is very hard to run a small business and hard to servive. simply donot give him a bad name derric. if u do not like john leave him alone. we needs good hard working people like him. he done it for 19 years. he is a very hardworking very honest smart business man. most of the wise people go to john they need him
i went there to fix the A/C in my car one summer. John said no problem you probably just need a top off of freeon, i knowing very little about cars thought this was normal practice.
After about 10 minutes hooked up to the ”freeon machine” and john banging a hammer on my ac compressor, he back to tell me that i needed a whole new a/c system top to bottom. I didnt feel like putting that kind of investment into my car so i politly told him i would just deal with the heat, he aggreed this was a good choice.
HOWEVER!! Upon getting to the chash. He hands me my bill and i almost fell over when i seen he was charging me over 400 dollars for about 12 and ahalf minutes of his time…. I fought him on this tooth and nail and he agreed to cut the bill down to 200… Which i still feel was overpriced!
In the end i belive he tries to take advantage of those who may not know alot about automotive repairs, at leat that was my experiance. I have not been back nor will i ever.

The service was amazing! i went for an emissions-test and it took only 10 minutes! The price was cheaper here then my old mechanics place, plus the job was done better! I was sent here by 2 of my friends who recommended me to come and im not turning back. Marier Garage will be my lifelong place to come whenever I need a car repair!
John is the nicest and honest guy I have ever met. I have been searching for a used car from last 3 months. He has some cars in his lot even though he found some time to talk and gave some advice to me. As a new comer I listened his words. I like his sincerity. Anyway he is great…
Took my car for a safety. Nothing was needed in order to pass, but John decided to replace a light bulb and of course it showed up on the bill. What is more, he did not properly re-install the light cover assembly. A big gap can be seen by the naked eye. Job well done? Friendly? Please, spare me. By the way John, why did the MTO seal your facility lately?

John the $1000 mechanic has sincerity, professionalism.? Please, spare me. He comes has friendly, but over priced and unneeded repairs. Seeing different guys working all the time and sure wonder if anyone other than him is a fully licensed mechanic?
He took about 10 minutes hooked up to the ”AC” and was banging a hammer on the ac compressor, he came back to tell me I owe him $500 for about 12 minutes of his time…. Then I bring in my car for noise, he decides to remove all the motor said had to do it but end up changing the alternator. My daughter was there to pick up the vehicle and her knowing fully well the car & dealer industry knew that it was bad business all together. He was charging $269 for the alternator refusing to provide her with the item # or show her the old part. She then asks if it was a re-built he installed he replied no 1 years warranty. Reason he could not show her the old part cause when you get a re-built you have to give the old one back. Yet again he’s famous approach $1000 bill, I never gave consent to remove the motor out…….WOW. Selling an unsafe car and not advising the customer of previous accidents on the car is a breach of contract. A complaint has been filed with OMVIC

I have got my car serviced / repaired at Marier Auto Garage on a number of occasion. The staff has always been very friendly and courteous. Mr. John is a very knowledgable mechanic. And their price is much better than the dealers.
I don’t think you have a clue about how hard John works and how good of a job he does. Most of the time, he does repairs on his own and he spends a lot of his time doing so. Just because you have over the top high expectations, you have left these rude comments. Life can’t go the way you wish so learn how to be nice. If you don’t want to get your car fixed at Marier Auto again, then don’t do so. It’s only your fault if you didn’t like something that was done to your car. You should have been a lot more descriptive when explaining what you wanted done. You people must have no money whatsoever and are too cheap to spend a good amount of money to repair your cheap broken down cars. And how on earth would you know how he is to his employees and other customers? I’ve known John for 15 years and I can easily say he is the most kind and generous man. And if he has fixed something in your car without permission, then it was for your own good. Be thankful that now your car won’t break down in the middle of no where. Overall, John is the best mechanic I have ever known and I recommend him to everyone I know.

This place is a total ripoff. All the previous reviews describing price gouging and fabricated repairs are confirming my own experience with the inflated “estimate” i received.
All the bootlicking comments about how “honest” and “intelligent” these people are supposed to be is just a bunch of baloney written up by them or teenagers they paid to post here.
You want an honest mechanic for real? Go to Garage Raymondo on the corner of Montreal Road and Durocher.
My friend Jack referred me to this garage, I was happy with the work and price.

Beware! I paid $400 to have my tire sensors changed and neither worked. When I told John he referred me to the dealership with no offer to refund the labour costs I had paid him.
Marier Auto at Montreal Rd location has been great for all my auto services since 2001. John delivers very reliable, professional and solid job. I never had any complains only thanks. When time comes for service (or a repair, which unfortunately happens – that’s why John is there) I drop my car in the morning and pick it back in the afternoon same day on my way home. John always takes your car for a test drive making sure all is fine. The problem is that I do not see him often because he does superb job. Highly recommended. Cheers.
my wife calls this guy the $1000 mechanic, no matter how minor the job was, the bill was always around $1000.
